Pension Schemes - Pre April 2006 Contracts
Please note that these contracts are no longer available to purchase in their old format, but they may still be in existence.
These will be taken into account and any benefits or value will be translated into the terms applying under the new rules. This is a technical matter that will not normally require action by individual members.
IMPORTANT April 2009 Deadline for people with large pre April 2006 funds
People with large existing benefits, (perhaps spread across several different pension schemes/policies), should take advice re ensuring that they are not adversely affected by the new rules. Action must be taken by 6th April 2009. Contact your Financial Advisor.
Technically, all older style schemes should by now have been assigned to one of the types of Arrangement, and be governed by its rules.
